Marathons Completed: 9

I have been running steadily since 2009 after completing an 8K street race in China, where I was living at the time. From there I registered for a half marathon and then some others until completing my first marathon in Shanghai, 2010. I registered again for 2011, breaking the 3:30 mark.

Then I came back to Chile in 2012 and ran the Santiago Marathon in April and Buenos Aires in October, where I clocked 3:11. Afterwards I focused more on triathlon as I registered for Ironman Brazil in 2013, which of course ends with a marathon so running was still a big part of my training.

A group of friends convinced me to try breaking the 3-hour mark in the 2014 Santiago Marathon, which we came short by very little (3:01:35 for me) but still was enough to qualify for Boston next year, where I achieved my PR so far: 2:57:44.

LA will be my 10th marathon and what better motivation than running it representing Chile as a Skechers ambassador! Running has become a chronic addiction by now so I try to make time for it as often as possible. I have 2 small kids (2 years and 6-months old) so I’m often running with a stroller these days, which has proved to be both great for training and a lot of fun.

Thanks Skechers for the invitation!
